1. OUR NEXT SHOW will be on 3 & 4 June 2017 at the Historic Washburn Grist Mill (1865) at Lower Brewers Lockon the Rideau Canal just northeast of Kingston, about 2 km north of Joyceville. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has been restored and transformed into a artist's studio, mill museum and gallery.. all nestled on gorgeously maintained heritage property. The shores of the Rideau Canal provide the perfect backdrop for Tineke's latest Garden Spirits, Randal's stainless steel metal sculptures, and the creations of about 30 other artists.
We'll be there, rain or shine! You're welcome to invite any art-loving friends you might know. There will be lunch items served by an on-site caterer and plenty of benches along the canal to sit and absorb the ambiance of the sumptuous surroundings.
For more information on the show, feel free to call or EMail Tineke, or check out www.donerstudio.ca

The art of Fabric Sculpting... ...was introduced to Eastern Canada by Dutch-born artist, Tineke Doornbosch. It's a Dutch art that Tineke learned in Holland and proudly brought to Canada several years ago.
It's the ultimate in re-cycling. What better way to give lasting life to your old T-Shirts and Grandma's old Doilies? We convert them (or show you how to convert them) to durable outdoor/indoor fabric sculptures which we lovingly call 'Garden Spirits'.
Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind sculpture. Most can be left outside all year round.. summer and winter. They are virtually weather impervious.
We have gorgeous granite rock in our area which, when used as a base for a Garden Spirit, can provide a striking anchor to the Sculpture and a stunning bridge to your garden.
Garden Spirits may be made from the most ordinary of materials found around the house.. or from exotic heirloom material. Either way, they evoke a sense of peace, calm and simplicity.
Best of all- "They make you smile!!
Tineke and husband Dan cordially invite you to visit their Perth Atelier anytime... by chance or by appointment.
Placed near a pond, a path, a garden, a brook. In a kitchen, a den, on a shelf, in a nook. With sedentary grace, each figure will cry: "I'm your Creation -a Spirit- a new friend to sit by".
